Thanks for sharing them because I do NOT have that gift and it really helps me when I can hear about your experience and realize, Hey! That's me, too! Now, if I could only find someone who would read to me for at least an hour, or to whom I could declare, like Maria, that "If I were with Chuck, he would read to me for at least an hour."
Be well! :)Lillianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09594682896125527663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3999815824061676937.post-4168555823049136492012-03-19T05:50:36.477-07:002012-03-19T05:50:36.477-07:00I think it's natural to worry after what happe...I think it's natural to worry after what happened with Si. These things shake us and break us a little. But we mend, we heal, we continue. Chuck sounds confident and great, and he reads to you when you're sick!
I'm glad the fever is down. I think physically we mend quicker than emotionally, but we get there. The World According To Mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06877147634501360129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3999815824061676937.post-50036869297618858282012-03-14T18:23:20.290-07:002012-03-14T18:23:20.290-07:00I say let yourself off the hook for any weird feel...I say let yourself off the hook for any weird feelings you have when you're sick. Check in with yourself again when your body's feeling better, and your heart will likely feel better too. Here's to bouncing back quickly!sandy shoeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05617376664356510015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3999815824061676937.post-61786785193429200972012-03-14T16:37:54.591-07:002012-03-14T16:37:54.591-07:00Bing often has to remind me that she isn't psy...Bing often has to remind me that she isn't psychic. That I have to TELL her if I need her to do something. This annoys me since I secretly feel that if she truly loved me, she would just sort of....know that I need her to make me Mrs. Grass Chicken noodle soup for dinner.

We have one of those "couple" jokes about it. When she isn't measuring up, I will say, "If I were with Lee DeWyze, he would just know to go buy me some jelly beans." Or "If Lee DeWyze were here, he'd just know that I want to sit in the leather recliner and have ownership of the remote."

It lightens things up. But, I get where you are coming from, I do.

And seriously? He rigged up a television just so you could watch a movie? READ to you for over an hour? I will now go tell Bing that "If I were with Chuck, he would read to me for at least an hour."Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05049511202014141182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3999815824061676937.post-83539854005880963432012-03-14T14:31:10.750-07:002012-03-14T14:31:10.750-07:00Ah but I think you did [have his interest]. The great tragedy (his not yours) is that he did not and does not have a way to express those emotions. Maybe trying to see that with a modicum of sympathy, both for yourself and for him, would help. Hope your cold is better soon, but enjoy being looked after x
Lemsip and whisky will sort you out!gibbonesquehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14400817557444356038noreply@blogger.com
