The edge of the known world can be found in your kitchen, if you want it to be. Or in your bed. Or during your commute. Every day, there is something new to experience. And if there isn't, shrug and make a margarita.
That photo is what the wood pile looked like at the beginning of the winter, unfortunately. We are down to just 1/6 of that amount. It'll be interesting to see if we make it through to spring.
Yes, that wood pile would be a splitting headache to chop! I come from a long line of tree people and just about every one of us has those splitting headaches! Although, we do most of our wood work in the warm months and get it all stacked up and split ahead of time. (For the most part!)
It looks like it is good to have that all done, or is that more to do? Hope you have a good weekend, anyway.

ReplyDeleteBefore we built this house, we'd easily go thru 8-10 chords in a season. Would have been far more this year, though...
ReplyDeleteIs the wood pile for a nice fireplace to keep your toes toasty? Hope you feel better soon.
