Angry Bird?

Why does the demented Robin come to the window every morning and spend an hour there, repeatedly dive-bombing his reflection?  Is he attacking himself?  Trying to make love to himself?  Always the same bird, always at the same window. He leaves...I think they are...tongue marks on the glass.
